400M Swim, 12 Mile Bike 3.3 Mile Run

Race time 7:30am

Race Day: Saturday check in at 6:00am at Rockin' R is located on the beautiful Guadalupe River in the quaint town of Gruene, Texas. The transition area will be towards the back of the parking lot. You must be body marked before you go to the transition. Event will be chip timed. Please no personal chips.

Swim: The 400 meter swim will be an out and back in the river.

Run: The 3.3 mile run is a one loop course on pavement in the City of Gruene.

Bike: The 12 mile bike course is an out & back course on lightly traveled roads. The Course is mainly on Country roads with gently rolling hills. There will be 5 Sheriff Deputies at intersections and main turns. Drafting is illegal and will not be tolerated. Be aware that the roads are open to traffic, stay to the right.

Divisions, Awards and Registration

Divisions-

Age Group - $60 until 4/22/2010, $70 until 5/21/2010, $80 on race day
    This is where the competition is the fiercest, and where the most awards are given.  The Overall and Master Overall winners always come from this division.  Awarding the Overall Finisher M/F, Masters Overall M/F, and Top 3 in each age group: 19 and under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over.

Fat Tire - $60 until 4/22/2010, $70 until 5/21/2010, $80 on race day
    This division is reserved for those who are competing as an individual, and will be using a mountain/commuter bike with big-wide-fat tires.  If you are competing on a bike with fat tires, you can elect to compete in the Age Group division.  Awarding the top 3 finishers, M/F.  Fat Tire finishers are eligible for the Overall and Master Overall.

DU1 - Swim/Bike - $60 until 4/22/2010, $70 until 5/21/2010, $80 on race day
   This division is for those who hate to run.  You will start the swim in the wave groups, and progress from there.  Rack your bike after your ride, and then head straight to the finish line.  Awarding the top 3 finishers, M/F.

DU2 - Swim/Run - $60 until 4/22/2010, $70 until 5/21/2010, $80 on race day
  This division is for those participants who do not like to cycle.  You will start the swim in the wave groups, and then head out on the run after passing through transition.    Awarding the top 3 finishers, M/F.

DU3 - Bike/Run - $60 until 4/22/2010, $70 until 5/21/2010, $80 on race day
  This division is for all of you who are afraid of the water.  You will start your bike ride after the first swimmer leaves transition for the Ride.    Awarding the top 3 finishers, M/F.

Relay (2-person and 3-person)
- 2 person $110 until 4/22/2010, $130 until 5/21/2010, $140 on race day
- 3 person $165 until 4/22/2010, $175 until 5/21/2010, $185 on race day 
  Relay teams is where it is at!  Go all out on your leg, and then pass the timing chip to your partner in transition.  All relay teams are in the same division.  Awarding the top 3 teams.

Packet Pickup

Packet pick up is Thursday May 20th @ Tri-Sition Triathlon Store located at 2602 NW Loop 1604, suite 106, San Antonio, Texas 78248) from 12-6pm. Friday May 21^st, Packet Pickup will be at the Rockin' R Facility located at 1405 Gruene Road, New Braunfels, Texas from 3-7pm. Race day packet pickup is an additional $10 cash or check only, 6:00am-7:00am at the trailer.

All participants must have an annual USAT membership or a single day permit If you do not have your annual USAT card, you will be required to purchase a one day $10.00 pass, cash or check only.
